ARUBA WINS APPLE CRYSTA AWARD FOR BEST DESTINATION 2007!

7 Aruba Hotels Also Honored with Golden Apple Awards!

•Apple Vacations honored Aruba with the 2007 Crystal Apple Awards for BEST DESTINATION 2007! The Crystal Apple Award is given to the “best of the best” in five categories and Aruba was proud to win the “Best Destination” honor based on over 300,000 Apple vacationer surveys.

Apple Vacations also recognized seven of Aruba’s highest rated hotels and resorts with a Golden Apple Award; honorees included the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, Bucuti Beach Resort Aruba and Tara Beach Suites & Spa, Divi Aruba All Inclusive, Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino, Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino, Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino, and the Westin Aruba Resort.

•AAA N.V. has been nominated for Global Airport Marketing Award 2007 for the second consecutive year by Official Airline Guide (OAG). This nomination is in the category of fewer than 5 million passengers per year. The ceremony was held during the 13th Annual World Route Development Forum in Stockholm, Sweden. The Global Airport Marketing Award nomination for AAA important are for two reasons: first, airlines get to nominate the airport that made a real difference to their own network planning activity over the last 12 months and second, AAA has been nominated in the toughest category, approximately 950 airports competing in this category and only 5 get nominated.

•On October 2, 2007, the Minister of Tourism & Transportation Edison Briesen and the Director of the Aruba Ports Authority inaugurated the new information & shopping building at the cruise terminal. This represents a three (3) million guilder investment. The renovation was completed just in time to welcome the new cruise ship season which runs from October to April.

•Amazing is the name of the restaurant that many people know as The Promenade in San Nicolas. Now remodeled, under new ownership and a new name, the favorite restaurant `p’ariba di brug’ is now open to the public. The new restaurant’s chef is Kurt Hoffmann, who has a wealth of experience behind him. Each day will have Lunch Highlights, with Make your own Pasta as one of the features. Kids will eat for free on Tuesday nights while Friday will be the night for tapas and samplers of mouth-watering main courses. Continuing the grand tradition of The Promenade restaurant, Amazing is going to be the place of choice for the Amazing Champagne Sunday Brunch. ARTS & CULTURE:

•“Jazz at Divi Links Aruba” is the title of the new cd by Ivan Jansen Quartet, which was launched during the introduction of the lunch menu at Windows on Aruba located at The Links at Divi Village Resort & Golf Club.

The cd is a collection of old time guests’ favorites. Besides serving patrons during the evening hours, Windows on Aruba will also be open for lunch from noon to 3.00 pm and will soon introduce Sunday Brunch as well.

•The Structure is the name of the new art exhibition presented by the Foundation Insight for the Arts Aruba. It is a collective exhibition of local artists primarily devoted to abstract and avant garde work presented to the public on October 4th at 7.30pm to 11.00pm at Paradera Park # 215 and will be on display until the 10 of November.
